Organized by the University of Sydney China Studies Centre, the NCP Field School program is designed to deepen the students’ understanding of China’s politics, diplomacy and economic development. This year’s program consists of various courses and activities to be carried out in Suzhou, Hangzhou and Shanghai; the 3-9 July Suzhou-based part, known as Language and Culture Program, has been co-organized by the Centre in China.
The Language and Cultural Program is made up of language lessons at the Centre in China, networking with local students, cultural heritage visit to Tongli ancient town, and so on. Besides, they will attend a lecture on the Overview of Higher Education at SIP at the Centre in China and a lecture at Xi’jiao Liverpool University to find out more about the Suzhou Industrial Park and China’s reform. The students will leave for Hangzhou to continue the rest of the program on 10 July.
