Meeting Qiu Xiaolong in Suzhou

The University of Sydney Centre in China, in association with the Old Bookworm, is pleased to invite the community to meet American Chinese writer, poet and translator Qiu Xiaolong.
About Qiu Xiaolong
Qiu Xiaolong was born in Shanghai and lives in the United States. He is the author of the critically acclaimed, award-winning Inspector Chen series. The first book of the series, Death of a Red Heroine (2000), was shortlisted for Edgar Awards and Barry Award, and won Anthony Awards in 2001.
The series also includes A Loyal Character Dancer (2002), When Red Is Black (2004), A Case of Two Cities (2006), Red Mandarin Dress (2007), The Mao Case (2009), Don’t Cry, Tai Lake (2011), The Enigma of China (2013), and Shanghai Redemption (2015).
Qiu Xiaolong has also published poetry collections and translations. His books have been translated into 20 languages and more than one million copies have been sold.
