Graduation Ceremony held in Beijing

2018 overseas Graduation Ceremonies of University of Sydney are only held in Singapore and China.

University of Sydney representatives last Sunday celebrated the graduation of 489 Chinese students at China World Hotel, Beijing, together with over 400 parents and relatives of the students.

A delegation led by the University of Sydney Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Dr Michael Spence AC has arrived in Beijing on Thursday night.

At the graduation ceremony, Vice-Chancellor Dr Michael Spence delivered his address in Chinese, drawing applause from the students, their parents and relatives.

Part of the University’s fourteenth annual visit to China, academics also will visit Peking University as well as leading universities in China this week.

The University also held an Alumni Celebration for more than 400 alumni on Saturday. The University has more than 50,000 graduates who have returned to China, with Shanghai and Beijing having the largest concentrations of alumni.
