Ms. Katherine Vickers, Minister-Counsellor for Education and Research, the Australian Embassy in Beijing, visited the University of Sydney Centre in China on 7 December, 2017.
Ms. Cathryn Hlavka, Executive Director, the University of Sydney Centre in China, showed Ms. Vickers around the Centre and briefed the guest on the Centre in China’s work since it was launched in November, 2016.
Impressed by the progress of the one-year old Centre in China, Ms. Vickers said, “Finally got the opportunity to visit the new University of Sydney office in Suzhou. Cathryn Hlavka has done a wonderful job getting it up and running as a home away from home supporting USYD academics, researchers and students to better connect with Chinese Education and R&D partners.”
Ms. Vickers paid her visit to the Centre in China after delivering a speech at the 2017 Austrade China Education Agent Training & Roundtable that took place in Suzhou on 7 December.
